Chrysalis Art Program Auction

Participants in the Chrysalis Art Program have been hard at work over the past few months designing a special piece of art that we are proudly auctioning off in support of future development of our great program. Since the beginning of the New Year, 5 10 talented artists have been involved in taking a simple dresser and turning it into a very unique piece of furniture.

What started out as a plain, brown dresser has no transformed into a colourful, yet practical, piece of art. We have created a number of designs and patterns on the dresser using coloured glass tiles, a few different ceramic tiles, and a couple different painting techniques. Different tile patterns adorn the top of the dresser, while colourful flowers are showcased on the sides. Tile patterns are used once again on the drawers along with the different paint colours and techniques to create a very interesting piece you can add to your bedroom set.

If you are interested in bidding on this piece, all you will need to do is call Chrysalis at 780.454.9656 and speak with the receptionist. From there, you can receive updates on the bid status and place your own bid. You can also come to the Chrysalis Edmonton building to take a look at the dresser and make a bid in person. A reserve bid of $150 has been set on this piece and all bids will be accepted until May 15, 2010.

Updates on the status of the bids will also be updated on the Chrysalis Website, www.chrysalis.ca, and the Chrysalis Facebook page, which you can access via the badge on the home page of the Chrysalis website.
